Sufferings, tribulations are part of the belief of Jesus. Acts 14:22
The true Evangel has not been received by all and that will not change. Case and point: the Apostles suffered a lot to get the Jewish offer of the salvation of Jesus to the world. Even the trustees of the Evangel fought hard against the Evangel, thinking that they were doing the right thing.
When we take time to examine the experience of the Apostles in the New Testament to bring the people of God and the world to understand the end of the pedagogy of the Law of Moses in Jesus, we see that they went through hell. They were not alone in taking the Evangel to the world because they have the Holy Spirit of God within them. Nevertheless, the Holy Spirit did not penetrate all the hearts of those who listened to them and did not either protect them from the wrath of the unbelievers who inflicted real pain on them, considering that the body of Apostle Paul was stoned to death. We read in Acts 14:19-23 that he was dragged out of the city because the dissenters thought that he was dead. But the Holy Spirit in Him kept him alive.
One take away from the experience of the Apostles is that when the true Evangel is rejected by your audience, it does not mean that your messaging failed because it is not true or was not well delivered. It is just that even the believers in Jesus will also reject His Evangel because of the phenomenon of the venom of the false prophets who will not go away until the end of the world. That is what we read in 2 Peter 2:1-3.
All kind of violence has been and will be the response of both the false believers and the unbelievers to the true message of the true Evangel. Those of us who carry the true message of salvation must brace ourselves for the worst outcome to overcome.
I get to understand that those who get their food from the trash will not find it anymore if they come to believe in the true Evangel because we all must go through trials to test our fitness for the Kingdom of God to come.
The Holy Church of Jesus will experience the full brute force of Satan in tribulations.
Acts 14:19-23
(19) But there came Jews thither from Antioch and Iconium: and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.
(20) But as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and entered into the city: and on the morrow he went forth with Barnabas to Derbe.
(21) And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch,
(22) confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.
(23) And when they had appointed for them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.
